Pupil and Sports Premium

What is the Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium is allocated to local authorities and schools with pupils on roll that are known to have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any time in the last six years.
The funding allocation per pupil changes each year.

Our school has the freedom to spend the Pupil Premium, which is additional to the underlying schools budget, in a way we think will best address inequalities, tackle disadvantage and support the raising of attainment for our pupils.

At Westwood Primary School Pupil Premium is used to pay for:

  • Inclusion Manager role - the Inclusion Manager organises family learning activities and support children to improve attendance and well-being.

  • Breakfast and lunchtimes

  • Additional support through interventions

  • Subsidised trips - residentials to support inclusion

A breakdown on how the Pupil Premium is spent and the impact of expenditure can be found in the document links below.
